L. $hamPain’s music has a way to tear you out of your comfort zone: like seeing something that you are not supposed to see, but you just can’t avert your eyes. “American Girl”, is not an exception: a song that shifts into various shapes during its almost five minutes and leaves you strangely dislocated in the end. There is more of this on her third EP “Euphoria”, out on May 24. The theme is happiness or, as she puts it in her own words: “more specifically, all the ways a girl can aim for it — and fail. Miserably & repeatedly. It’s like an old slap-stick comedy routine where the joke lies in how many times the person can fall & keep insisting on getting back up.”
