There’s something utterly optimistic and life-affirming about Golden Coast‘s music, aside from being irresistibly gorgeous! Today, the Californian duo released another stunning track from their upcoming EP (November!) and like the previous single “Recess”, the duo makes me reflect on my teenage years with “Comeback Kid”, which doesn’t come as too big of a surprise with a title like that. “I was never cool, lord knows that I tried . . . yeah I’m the comeback, comeback kid” that totally resonates with me. Add a catchy melody, groovy rhythm, bright synths and beautiful guitar lines in addition to raspy-smooth power vocals and well, the result is a positively vibing indie-pop gem.
