Hån hails from Lago di Garda, Italy, a most beautiful place in Europe where in the 90s we sometimes spent a few days in early spring, like many other people from southern Germany. It is not an area one would easily associate with melancholy, but then, being connected to the safe space of your children in changing ways is a universal theme (like in Jupiter Deluxe Tube’s “Home”). Hån lets “The Children” build slowly and continuously adds drama with thundering toms and children’s chants.
