The self-titled debut EP by Holy Boy has become one of my favorites this year. With its drum-heavy, dark vibes the music reminds of early Zola Jesus, before she employed massive orchestral sounds. Helene Alexandra Jaeger, the woman behind Holy Boy, tries to tap the subconsciousness for her song writing as she explains:

I believe there’s something unspoken in the human consciousness, a deeper part of being that comes out beyond language and speech.
