“If I Can make you follow, I think we might find our way.” The new song “Follow” by NYC/LA duo Drinker unfolds somewhere between dream and reality, as singer Aaron Mendelsohn explains:
Reattaching to the modern world after a hiatus in my mind, I return to find myself lost, alone, trapped and wishing to leave. The song brings a nameless ‘you’ into the chorus and offers the hope that a mysterious place, apart from reality, could be viable with the right company.
Ariel Loh’s production adds the perfect soundtrack to this sentiment: sometimes the music lulls you in, then abruptly shakes you up, all without ever losing its elegant flow.
