SONG PICK: Shlomi Ash – Wake Up
Coming across Shlomi Ash‘s latest single “Wake Up”, I also listened to “Taking Me Over”, the single before the current one and it is impossible to prefer the one over the other. Let’s stick with “Wake Up” though. While the Tel Aviv-based artist means “Wake Up” in a more figurative sense, I would not mind to be woken up in the morning by the gorgeous track because it balances bright tones with optimism, and is capable to put the listener in a good mood from the get-go.
The track is based around a quote to be attributed to no other than JFK: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing”. Never heard of that one before but that is certainly an interesting thought to dwell on while listening to “Wake Up”, our Song Pick of the Day:
