SONG PICK: Daniela Andrade – Ayayai
Daniela Andrade lives in Canada as daughter of Honduran immigrants and has celebrated successes with cover versions of popular song since the beginning of the decade. Now she focuses on writing and producing her own fascinating, sleek future pop songs. “Ayayai” is her first song in Spanish and even if you do not speak the language, you probably get the meaning right as Daniela explains:
This expression has always been difficult to translate for me as it can be used in different senses. For this song, I wanted to portray that feeling of when you look at someone across a room and play out how things may go down.
