SONG PICK: Wildes – Stay
“Stay” is pure emotion, the moment when your brain is useless and you only can wait until the feelings ebb and you gain control again. The new song by London singer/songwriter Wildes takes you for about three minutes into this state of mind and you best just let yourself be swept away.
Like often, a breakup inspired the song as Wildes explains:
Stay is a song about the heartbreak and confusion that comes with leaving a relationship. As soon as you’ve made up your mind, memories come flooding back that suddenly make you unsure. Stay is about the difficulty of weighing up the good and the bad, the wrong and the right in someone, to the point when you just don’t know anymore. We’re all helpless, it’s our hearts that are in control.
Wildes is planning to release her debut album next year.
