SONG PICK: Lannigan – Where Do We Go From Here?
Despite its melancholic lyrics and overall wistful feel, “Where Do We Go From Here?” also offers sparkles of optimism thanks a beautiful surfer vibe. This is a song that could have only been made at a place defined by endless summers and mild winters. “Where Do We Go From Here?” marks the new single by Lannigan, the studio project of Syndey-based singer/songwriter Ben Roach in collaboration with his high school friend and producer Luke Payne.
We asked Roach to tell us a bit about the inspiration to “Where Do We Go From Here?” and he reveals:
“The song was written about a relationship that I was in that wasn’t progressing anywhere. It’s about the uncertainty in a relationship when you’re not sure if staying or going is the right thing to do.”
