SONG PICK: Foamboy – Peach Smoothie
Portland-based duo Foamboy, comprised of producer Wil Bakula and vocalist Katy Ohsiek just released the smooth and utterly gorgeous “Peach Smoothie,” the third single ahead of their upcoming album. The ten-track debut My Sober Daydream is scheduled for October 1st. Bukula and Ohsiek met in Salem, OR, and worked together for a number of years in the experimental musical collective Chromatic Colors before they started their new project Foamboy. I very much enjoyed pre-listening to the album already. Thievery Corporation and Zero 7 come to mind, two bands whose jazzy and loungy vibe I love a lot.
