SONG PICK: Ryan Egan – Weeknights (Video)
New Jersey-native singer/songwriter Ryan Egan packed his things and moved to Paris shortly before the worldwide lockdown hit. He recently came back to his old turf as well as New York and Philadelphia to record songs for his upcoming album to drop on April 8th, 2022. The album’s lead single “Weeknights” was co-produced by Kevin Basko (Foxygen, Rubber Band Gun) and is irresistibly lush and bright.
The accompanying video lures us immediately in thanks to its tender, romantic vibe, coming straight from the heart. Even though my personal love awakening is a long, long time ago, I still remember it vividly. The coming-of-age insecurity, the longing, and the overwhelming novelty of it all are beautifully captured in the visuals to “Weeknights.”
