SONG PICK: Dutch Mustard – What The People Want
Dutch Mustard muse about “What The People Want” in their new and super catchy single. This brilliant sound is definitely contrasting with the heavy dose of Americana we played in our home leading up to Thanksgiving. How come a British band, based in London, calls themselves Dutch Mustard? A name that makes you wonder, no doubt. Behind Dutch Mustard are multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Sarah-Jayne Riedel, who lends the project her charismatic vocals and teamed up with producer and guitarist Aleks Kaczmarek.
Asked about the new single, Sarah-Jayne says:
“What The People Want” is about playing the system. A realisation that you can do anything, give the people what they want, and still stay truthful.
