Nothing But Thieves – Welcome to the DCC [Video]

When I learned that Southend-on-Sea indie-rockers released a new single/video, I didn’t even need to listen to it, but I wanted to feature it already. Long time fan here! We saw the five-piece in December 2015 when they played Brooklyn’s Baby’s Alright, a club that, even back then, was already more on the intimate side for Nothing But Thieves (photos). But this also meant I could even chat with singer/guitarist Conor Mason and guitarist Joe Langridge-Brown after the show. With the funky, synthy “Welcome to the DCC,” they are advancing their guitar-driven rock sound because this is a highly danceable, ultra-modern take on late 70s disco. In short: finest disco of the future!
