Alaska Reid – She Wonders
Listening to “She Wonders” and the previous single “Back to This” by Alaska Reid, makes me want to listen to her new album Disenchanter right now without having to wait until July 14. The super-talented singer/songwriter co-produced the album together with A. G. Cook, and the collaborative work drops via Luminelle Recordings.
Alaska splits her time between her native Park County, Montana, and her adopted hometown of Los Angeles and takes inspiration from both places. She calls her signature sound “Mountain Pop,” which combines alt-country, grunge, and synth-pop. “She Wonders” takes from jangly guitar vibes with some killer flanger effects to pulsating drums and lets Alaska’s mesmerizing, ultra-gorgeous vocals shine to the fullest. I’m having this on repeat!
