We have known Jummy Aremu, aka War Violet , for a while as an enchanting, hard-working musician in New York City. So we couldn’t be happier to hear that Kill Rock Stars and Bella Union have co-signed her. Her first release, “Different Formations,” expands the range for an artist who loves guitar-heavy music: the song is an atmospheric piece around piano, strings, and flute.
