SONG PICK: E.Parker – Girl
London-via-Australia singer/songwriter E.Parker has a special way to tell her stories, with gravitas and poise. Add the sleek, never intrusive production to it and you have perfect, modern pop gems at had. Her latest song “Girl” is somewhat more abstract than her previous work, but comes with a concrete message. E. Parker explains:
I wrote this track mostly about a girl I was really fascinated by and I think it’s the first time I’ve written lyrics that focus more on my inner fantasy world than reality. Although for me, I hope the larger message of the track that people take away is the ‘Girl, you have so much time ahead of you, so what are you going to do?’…because you can do anything.
