“Emergency Landing,” the new single by Jess Nolan, starts out all groovy and soft, grows sweeter and more intense, and delights with the most beautiful ebb and flow. With “Emergency Landing,” the Nashville-based singer/songwriter announces her sophomore album 93 which will be out this fall via Righteous Babe Records. The gorgeous track tackles expectations and how we can stay sane in an ever-changing world. Jess wrote the song together with her friends Hadley Kennary and Jake Finch and explains:
“‘Emergency Landing'” is about the societal pressure to be ‘on’ all the time. We live in a world that glamorizes the grind and doesn’t prioritize rest. It’s up to us as individuals to draw our own boundaries around what we need to recharge. We don’t need permission to care for ourselves!”
