Mary Middlefield – Atlantis
The picturesque Swiss town Lausanne is home to Mary Middlefield, a gifted singer/songwriter announcing her upcoming EP with the gorgeous “Atlantis.” The EP follows her brilliant March 2023 album Thank You Alexander. Originally, “Atlantis” was kept very bare, yet together with producer Gwen Buord, Mary Middlefield added intricate ukulele arrangements. They also put an underwater feel to the song, wanting to achieve a more euphoric vibe. Lastly, they included strings and synths to make “Atlantis” feel dreamy and beautifully round.
