“Slow,” the new song by LA singer/songwriter Holly Blair, captures the moment when her life takes a turn for the better when she feels she can leave behind all the trying and really do what is good for her. Alternating between restrained verses and a kathartic chorus, the song ends in an unexpected grand finale.
Holly explains:
“The chorus is a theme that feels really central to my life, which is the desire to say yes, but being fearful of releasing control. So it’s really like my higher self talking, telling me not to be afraid, and to move with the nonlinear movement of life and time— to stop fighting so hard.”
