Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Nisa Lumaj, who goes artistically by Nisa, released another stunning track from her upcoming debut album Shapeshifting (4/26), the vibrant “Breach.” What appeals from the spot is the song’s syncopated rhythm and thoughtful instrumentation, which complement Nisa’s beautiful, emotive vocals. And wait for the super cool guitar solo! It becomes clear that she means it when she opens “Breach” with these lyrics:
“Cut the shit and walk right in
A hall of mirrors
No illusions
No forgiveness.”
