Victoria Bigelow – The Kids
“Mother by day, songwriter by night,” says the Instagram bio of Nashville singer/songwriter Victoria Bigelow. Her new song “The Kids” is about what can keep a mother awake at night: helping your child to navigate our quickly changing world.
She explains:
“Kids have it really, really hard right now and their pain is often invalidated and overlooked,” notes Bigelow. “The world tries to rob them of hope the minute they’re born and it often wins. This song is about the forced loss of innocence especially with the rise of AI and obsessive internet culture… things can be really dark and this song is just me wanting to talk about it.”
