frances mistry – letters
A song like “letters” is a beautiful way to say a final goodbye. It acknowledges life as a gift and that a loved person is always with you in your memories. There is sadness in it, but also coming to terms with unchangeable facts of being human. For the Brighton-based singer/songwriter frances mistry, the song comes from a personal experience. She recalls:
“This is a special song to me. I wrote it 3 days before my nanna died while she was in hospital. I managed to play it to her and it is something I will cherish forever. It’s about reminiscing on memories with someone you’ve lost.”
