Barley Passable – Dial Tone (ft. Abby Bella May)
Australian pop duo Barley Passable announced their upcoming EP Together for June 13 and released the irresistibly vibrant “Dial Tone” along the way. The track keeps a nostalgic vibe without dwelling on it and delights with an overall fresh take on the electro-pop genre. Kai Ollmann (guitars and vocals) and Davy Brown (keyboards and vocals) share producer duties for their songs and also like to collaborate with others. Featuring Abby Bella May, the duo provides more insight about the creation of their newest song:
“‘Dial Tone’ was made with so many amazing friends and across such a long period of time. From the initial session we had with Abby writing the song to sending the track to Oscar after he just moved to London in its initial state (when we thought it was done) and then hearing what he did to it – the song was such a journey. It’s really because of this journey that the song has steadily grown into one of our favourites in all aspects – production to lyrics.”
