SONG PICK: ADVANCE – The One [EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE]

“A Sign of Things to Come” is the title of the upcoming EP by ADVANCE, the Glasgow based dystopian electronica project of Tom Perrett and Kimberly Copland, and we’re thrilled to exclusively premiere one track from the EP ahead of time (June 10). While we dig all four tracks, and since I was allowed to pick one, I ultimately decided on “The One”. With “The One”, ADVANCE have created an exquisitely dark, electronic body music gem, that’s hard to resist. Advance take their industrial and electronic synths pop influences from Depeche Mode, Assemblage 23 and Ludovico Einaudia and while these influences are present, they clearly create their own infectious sound. “A Sign of Things to Come” will be available digitally June 10 together with a strictly limited, 12” heavyweight vinyl edition. A new full length album is due in 2017.
