SONG PICK: Lewis Fieldhouse – Naked Psychopathic Blues [EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE]

Sparse instrumentation with pulsating drums, bright guitar lines, dark bass rhythm and on top of it these clear and soothing vocals that draw you right in, further and further into “Naked Psychopathic Blues”, the track intensifying for the chorus and then some. Despite the serious lyrical content, the musical vibe of the song is hopeful and alluring and I would love to walk through a colorful autumn forest while listening to “Naked Psychopathic Blues”. The more I am excited to be able to premiere this glorious track today.

“Naked Psychopathic Blues” marks the first single from Lewis Fieldhouse‘s upcoming full-length debut album titled “Theodor Washington and the Central Valley” in which he takes on the persona of a fictive Theodor Washington. As the album’s title suggests, the songs draw from the singer/songwriter’s experiences traveling California’s Central Valley. In “Naked Psychopathic Blues” the lyrical content is about difficult personalities and their even more complicated relationships, which becomes evident when Lewis Fieldhouse sings “She said I loved you in the worst kind of way, with a hunter’s pride she thinks you’re my trophy wife”.
